What Food is Available on a Private Jet?

If you are considering a private jet charter for your next flight, then you may be wondering what catering options will be available to you.

The type of food private jets offer really depends on the facilities the jet has and, of course, your personal preference. Here is everything you need to know about private jet food.

At the FBO

The food available to you at the FBO will depend on the FBO itself. Each airport will have its own catering facilities and restaurants, but you can expect the food at the leading FBOs to be of a high standard with plenty of options available.

On board

Flying privately is a bespoke service so there will be a wealth of options available to you when it comes to your private jet food. When you fly with MS Aviation, for example, your favourite dishes can be prepared ready for your flight if you arrange your catering in advance. All this requires is a conversation about your requirements with your concierge and the rest will be taken care of.

However, we understand that many of our clients are busy people and may not have the time to choose their menu in advance. This is why we always have a delicious selection of high-quality meals, snacks and refreshments so that there is something to suit everyone.

Allergies and other dietary requirements

Special dietary requirements can also be catered for effortlessly on a private jet, meaning gluten-free, lactose-free, pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan and religious preferences can all be catered for, as well as menus clear of any other allergens.

If you do have dietary requirements, we would still recommend specifying these in advance, but MS Aviation will ensure a wide variety of options to cater to all requirements as standard.

Food for special occasions

If your flight is part of a special celebration, such as a birthday, anniversary or honeymoon, we can ensure that your flight is tailored to include all that you need. From birthday cakes to champagne, nothing is out of bounds!

What factors affect the food offering on private jets?

The food options available on a private jet may be limited by the size and facilities of the aircraft and the duration of the flight. Short flights on smaller aircraft will have a range of premium snacks and drinks available, and usually the option to order light meals including sandwiches, salads and antipasti. Larger aircraft that have the facilities can offer a wide range of restaurant-quality hot dishes and fine dining options.

Even if you only opt for simple catering options onboard, you can rest assured it will all be of extremely high quality, such as sandwiches with restaurant-standard fillings and premium alcohol brands, rather than the basic offering you would get on a commercial flight. In addition to the main meals on a private jet, there will always be a good selection of drinks and high-quality snacks available, such as pretzels, nuts, crisps and biscuits.
