Romania is a country with a wealth of natural beauty and it is becoming increasingly popular with private jet passengers.

Private jet charter to Romania

When you choose to fly to Romania with MS Aviation, your dedicated consultant will organise the most efficient and comfortable journey, ensuring you have nothing to worry about from home to your final destination.

Bucharest

The capital of Romania, Bucharest, is the country’s commercial centre, making it a popular destination for charter flights. The city itself, with its unique blend of modern and communist-era architecture, is home to the iconic Parlamentului government building which is the second-largest building on the planet.

For private charter flights to Bucharest, the two main airports are Henri Coanda Otopeni Airport (OTP/ LROP) and Bucharest Aurel Banasea International (BBU/ LRBS), which both sit within 10 miles of the city.

Banasea Aurel airport operates exclusively for business flights and charter jets. Only 8.5km North of Bucharest, approximately a 35-minute drive, this airport is perfect for accessing the business centres of Bucharest. It is also situated near the ROMEXPO S.A. exhibition centre which hosts some of Romania’s leading trade fairs. The paved runway at this airport has a substantial length of 10,170ft and is suitable for a wide range of aircraft.

Henri Coanda is the largest airport in Romania and is located 17km north of Bucharest. The airport consists of a single terminal with 2 parallel runways and one dedicated FBO. Your dedicated MS Aviation consultant can organise swift onward transportation for you, including a driver to meet you on the tarmac, and it takes about 30 minutes to reach the centre of Bucharest.

Transylvania

A centre for history, folklore and tradition, a private flight to Transylvania will put you in the heart of Romania. Travellers may visit the home of Dracula in Brasov county, while a trip to Sighisoara will delight with its UNESCO-listed fairytale architecture.

Cluj-Napoca serves as the film capital of Romania, holding the Transylvanian International Film festival every May. Cluj-Napoca is best accessed by a private charter flight to its main airport, Cluj-Napoca International (CLJ). Approximately 8km from the city centre (a 20-minute drive), the airport also has convenient access to the north and northwestern parts of the country.

With a runway length of 6,070ft, this airport is suitable for all types of aircraft, from small props to large airliners. Modern, quiet and comfortable, the airport offers a business centre in the departures terminal and a conference room with a capacity of 100. For those seeking some relaxed and productive work time, passengers have access to a modern and comfortable business lounge.

Those travelling to Sighisoara may choose to charter a flight to Sibiu International Airport (SBZ) which is 72.2km away. Sibiu International provides a convenient location for our business travellers, being just a 10-minute drive from Sibiu city centre and 5-minute drive from the city’s main industrial park. Consisting of 1 terminal and an 8,628ft runway, this airport has service quality and operational efficiency, making it a favourable choice for our charter flights.

Skiing in Romania

With over 211km of slopes, Romania’s top ski resort is Straja. The closest airport to this destination is Sibiu International Airport which lies approximately 203km away.

Alternatively, skiers can fly to Timisoara Traian Vuia International Airport which lies approximately 252km away. Relatively close to Bucharest, Timisoara Traian Vuia International Airport has good access to the South West of the country and is convenient for those also planning visits to Hungary or Serbia.

Another popular Romanian ski resort is the mountain resort town of Sinaja. With its stunning castle and substantial volume of snow, Sinaja is under 2 hours by car from Bucharest, meaning that it can be served by Baneasa or Otopeni airports. Your MS Aviation consultant can, of course, organise the most comfortable and convenient onward journey for you once you land.
